As a church family, we are deeply grateful for the privilege of walking alongside your son or daughter during these important and formative years. Parenting teenagers—especially as they grow toward adulthood—is both a profound joy and a God-given responsibility. The Lord has entrusted you with the calling to nurture, guide, and faithfully model a life of faith in the rhythms of everyday life. We understand that this season often brings a blend of gratitude, hope, and at times uncertainty or concern. As our youth begin shaping their own convictions, identity, and direction in life, they are growing—and so are we as parents and leaders. None of us navigates this journey perfectly. That is why we want you to know clearly and confidently: you are not alone.

At Katy Christian Community Church, we desire to partner with you—not replace you. Together, we seek to encourage our youth to grow in Christ, remain firmly rooted in faith, and learn to live out the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with conviction, humility, and grace in everyday life.

Our youth ministry exists to help students develop a living and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Grounded in Scripture, we seek to help our youth be rooted in Christ, built up in faith, established in truth, and equipped to live as His disciples in today’s world. As Colossians 2:6–7 reminds us: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught.”

Our goal is not merely for students to gain biblical knowledge, but to walk with God—developing Christlike character, healthy relationships, and a heart to serve.

Parents play an irreplaceable role in the spiritual formation of their children. For this reason, we see our youth ministry (FOCUS) as a shared journey—a partnership between parents, church leaders, and the faith community. We desire to walk alongside you, support you, and maintain open and trusting communication as we care for your children together.

This year, we will begin with our first Family Focus activity on Friday, March 6, at 7:00 PM followed by a Parents’ Meeting on Sunday, March 29 at 1:00 PM. I sincerely hope you will make these gatherings a priority as we seek to connect with one another, support our youth, and walk alongside them together in discipleship. Your presence matters greatly and sends a powerful message to your children about the value of faith, community, and spiritual growth.

We encourage our youth to participate actively in gatherings, studies, and events, knowing that consistency fosters growth and meaningful relationships. At the same time, we recognize that every family’s situation is unique. If challenges or concerns arise—spiritual, personal, or practical—we invite you to reach out. We are committed to listening, praying, and walking together in grace.

Our prayer is that the youth ministry will strengthen—not replace—the spiritual life of your family, helping our young people grow in love for Christ, deepen their relationships at home, and discover their place in God’s church. Indeed, it is a precious privilege to raise your children in the house of God. On this journey of faith, we look forward to connecting with you, praying alongside you, and walking together as God continues His good work in your children’s lives.
